The firm brought proceedings against Mr Haywood after the former real estate boss made the switch to rival firm Nabarro in 2014. Mr Haywood joined in Nabarro to help launch the firm’s Manchester office alongside partner Monica Brij and Nathan Jansen. Addleshaw subsequently alleged loss of future revenue and loss of a key client in relation to Mr Haywood’s departure, and moved to tighten the firm’s provisions surrounding equity and fixed-share partner exits. Now, however, partners at Addleshaw have reported that the £5m dispute between Mr Haywood and his former firm has now been settled, though the exact terms of the settlement remain unclear. News of the settlement comes just months after Addleshaws restocked its own City real estate practice with partners from the now defunct King & Wood Mallesons EUME, including former managing partner William Boss.
