Historic attitudes favouring globalisation are fundamentally changing....
London capital markets head Stephen Miller will be moving to Hong Kong next month to take up the new position and will work alongside newly-appointed Hong Kong international capital markets head Yvonne Siew, who replaced former head Walker Son late last year.
Rebuilding strength
The move comes in the wake of several other departures from A&O’s practice in Hong Kong over the past few years, including US-qualified partner David Kuo’s move to Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy’s local office in January last year. Mr Kuo followed in the footsteps of fellow US-qualified partner Jim Grandolfo, counsel Paul Perry and associates Kurtis Sherwood and Adam Heyd, all of whom transitioned from A&O's Hong Kong office to the US firm in 2013. With the addition of Miller, A&O will have 6 capital markets partners in its Hong Kong team, two of whom are US-qualified.
