Ashurst today is to launch a new German-language investigations solution in Germany through a collaboration between Ashurst Advance, its new law division, and global alternative legal services provider UnitedLex.

“First-of-its-kind”

The partnership, which the firm says is the first-of-its-kind in Germany, will build on Ashurst's global investigations' experience and see Ashurst and UnitedLex offer enhanced compliance, discovery and investigation management services including process design and productivity, technology enablement, resource optimisation and document review. The service will be offered initially in Germany, with the ability to scale up and offer in other jurisdictions in accordance with client demand. Michael Holzhäuser, partner in Ashurst's Strategic Advisory division in Frankfurt, said “Further strengthening and developing our global investigations offering is a key priority, reflected by our recent hire of partner Ruby Hamid. This collaboration further demonstrates that and will allow us to create value for clients by meeting a broader spectrum of their needs in investigations.”

Collaboration

Head of Ashurst Advance, Chris Georgiou, added “We are delighted to be able to combine the strengths and expertise of Ashurst and UnitedLex to strengthen our ability to effectively and efficiently manage clients' most critical business challenges. This first-of-its-kind collaboration in Germany with one of the world's leading alternative services providers is another example of how Ashurst Advance sees collaborations as being central to how we provide value to our clients.” Managing director of EU Operations at UnitedLex, Behnam Sadough, commented “UnitedLex combines technology, legal expertise and process innovation to achieve higher operational performance throughout each phase of an investigation. We are delighted to partner with Ashurst's investigations team and Ashurst Advance to provide a new investigations solution that meets client demand in a flexible and value-driven way.”
