The new Excello Libertas platform has been launched to help firms to get off the ground without having to invest in the backroom structures required to practice.

Instant structure

The management team behind the new model provided the service to the recent arrival of international litigators Sanders Phillips Grossman Law in the UK, offering fast support to process claims in the VW emissions class-action, in addition to launching a class-action suit against British Airways. The team has now launched Excello Libertas as a standalone business to provide full operational, IT, HR, administrative and regulatory systems including case and finance management, PI insurance, secretarial and paralegal services, office facilities and marketing support for law firms either already in business or looking to set up.  The US-based SPG Law is their first client. Marc Grossman, senior partner at SPG, said ‘the beauty of the model is that Excello Libertas has provided an instant structure and platform for us to launch in the UK, while allowing us to retain and build our own brand.’

Start-up interest

George Bisnought, managing director of Excello Libertas, commented ‘we have considerable experience and expertise in providing solutions for the needs of today’s lawyers who are demanding more innovation, better ways of working, increased flexibility and solutions-driven services.’ He explained they provide a suite of operational support services that can work ‘for international firms looking to establish a UK operation, as well as for UK firms looking to restructure and off load the burden of law firm administration and management and develop a more sustainable client-focused practice.  We’ve also had interest from teams looking to move out from big practices and quickly set-up on their own.’ Client firms retain their own brand and culture but benefit from economies of scale.
