The 32-partner firm, which also has an office in Oxford, took the ‘Most Innovative Gender Diversity Initiative’ award in recognition that 58 per cent of all of its partners and all its directors are female.
The firm’s programmes to make the transition back to work after maternity leave much smoother, including working from home or part time, job sharing and enhanced maternity pay, were also praised.

Successful careers

Boodle Hatfield senior partner Richard Maughan commented: ‘We have always strived to provide an environment where all staff can thrive and achieve their full potential. The firm has always had a high number of female partners and staff and has female role models at all levels. Providing members of the firm with the opportunity to have challenging and successful careers whilst, at the same time, having fulfilling home lives is very much a part of our heritage.’
