DAS has a license to operate as an ABS (Alternative Business Structure). It also bought Bristol-based law firm CW Law in March 2013. DAS spokesman Bob Screen said: ‘A full investigation will now be conducted with the support of an independent firm. The financial strength of the business and the service which DAS provides to its clients is not affected. He has been suspended over concerns about his relationship with a supplier.’

Internal audit

DAS says that this investigation is entirely separate to the suspension  of two members of staff at the firm this month when an internal audit revealed problems with the company’s accounts. Source: Bristol Post
