China develops plan to become world power in robotics

China is including 'numerical control tools and robotics' as one of ten industries in which it plans to become a world manufacturing power over the next decade.

The State Council, which acts as China’s cabinet, is creating a group that will co-ordinate a plan to improve the reputation of ‘Made in China’ manufacturing. The group will be set up within the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
