Clyde bids farewell to four London corporate partners

A 'shoulder-tapping exercise' has seen Clyde & Co, one of the fastest growing law firms in the UK, say goodbye to three partners from a team that is principally a support arm to the insurance group and other main focus areas.

Kennedys hires five-strong team from Mayer Brown. Four to be based in London.

A performance review was put in place at the end of 2014, after the firm lost some substantial pieces of M&A work to rivals in a surge of activity in the insurance sector. A fourth partner left after being headhunted by a US competitor.

Transactions

The review covered the global corporate and commercial team, but is understood to have been particularly concentrated on UK transactions. That team now has 14 partners.
