Controversial actress Lindsay Lohan takes up brand job at Lawyer.com

Lindsay Lohan, who has had her fair share of legal troubles, has taken on a new job which will give her equity in the company.

US referral services Lawyer.com has hired actress Lindsay Lohan’s to front its marketing campaign. The website says she will be the company's exclusive spokesperson during a 12 month engagement 'and will also act as its marketing and brand advisor. The actress announced her new position in a video for the directory services. Having been arrested for reckless driving, driving under the influence and shoplifting, Ms Lohan says of her new appointment: 'When Lawyer.com first reached out to me, I was confused, a little scared, because I thought I was in trouble. But when they asked me to be their spokesperson, I was intrigued. After meeting with the team, I realised Lawyer.com is just about helping people.' 

New strategies

The website says of her new job: 'Each month she meets and brainstorms with Lawyer.com management on new strategies to raise Lawyer.com's awareness including producing compelling content, connecting to media leaders, and launching fun videos and commentaries to her 20 million social followers. In return for her extensive commitments to the success of Lawyer.com, her compensation includes a substantial option ownership position in the company.' The company was founded in 1998 by lawyer Gerald Gorman who had previously set up another directory website.
