Crowdfunding site unveiled for lawsuits

A website has been launched to link accredited investors with plaintiffs in commercial suits worth between US$10m and $40m.

A staff of six people at LexShares will review potential cases and filter out those not viewed as having strong merit. Co-founder Jay Greenberg said: 'LexShares provides a transparent, economically rational and efficient means for connecting plaintiffs with investors to fund their commercial legal claims. In doing so, we hope to provide plaintiffs with equal access to justice and investors with access to a new asset class that is not correlated with broader capital markets.' Source: Business Wire
