DAC Beachcroft nabs former KWM slot on Royal London real estate panel

The firm's hire of former King & Wood Mallesons counsel Helen Murcott has helped secure its spot on the prestigious Royal London Mutual Insurance Society's real estate panel.

Ms Murcott has recently joined DAC Beachcroft as a partner in the firm’s real estate practice group following the collapse of King & Wood Mallesons’ European arm. She had been with the firm for more than ten years, having joined legacy SJ Berwin from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 2006. Her book of business is made up of institutional and overseas real estate developer and investors, whom she advises on a wide range of real estate matters including HQ relocations, structured real estate transactions, and real estate finance. The addition of Royal London as a DAC Beachcroft client is no small feat – with over £100bn worth of assets under management and more than 3,000 employees, Royal London is easily the largest mutual life, pensions and investment company in the United Kingdom.
