The Philadelphia-headquartered firm has reported a 2.4 per cent increase in global revenue for 2016, up from $890m to $911.5m. The healthy boost was helped along in no small part by the firm’s London office, which defied Brexit volatility to post an impressive 19 per cent increase in billed and received work last year. Globally, corporate and securities, financial services and internal investigations/white collar crime were the firm’s strongest performing practice groups, with white collar raking in 60 per cent more work last year than in 2015. Meanwhile, Dechert’s profit per equity partner (PEP) inched up 1.6 per cent as the size of the firm’s equity partnership contracted 4 per cent from 163 to 157 partners.
