Dewey juror reports muscle pain after deliberating for over two weeks

On day 13 of deliberations in the fraud trial of three former Dewey & LeBoeuf executives, at least one juror is reporting physical problems - revealing in a note that she has been treated for muscle spasms caused by sitting for so long.

The three men - ex-chairman Steven Davis, former executive director Steven DiCarmine and ex-chief financial officer Joel Sanders - face sentences of as much as 25 years in jail if they are found guilty. The charges relate to the way the accounts were presented to banks lending money to Dewey & LeBoeuf in the last months before it went into administration in 2010.

Partial verdict?

The jury listened to evidence for three and a half months before retiring to consider the verdict. Justice Robert Stolz of New York State Supreme Court has asked prosecutors and defence lawyers to consider telling the jury that a partial verdict would be acceptable if there are difficulties in reaching a decision otherwise.
