Set in 'the world's divorce capital' of London, The Split follows three sisters – two of whom are leading divorce lawyers at rival City law firms. The new six-part drama from award-winning screenwriter Abi Morgan (River, Suffragette, The Hour) promises to ‘expose the complex realities of high-end divorce and broken marriage through female divorce lawyers and sisters embattled and bound by their own troubled past.’ As the lawyers’ personal and professional lives become ever-more entangled, the show aims to offer an exposition on the nature of love, commitment and family in the 21^st century – complete with scandalous affairs, big-figure settlements and fierce competition for top-tier clients. The BBC are yet to confirm a premiere broadcast data for the series.
