Mr Hopkinson-Woolley is heading back to Simmons & Simmons after just three years with DLA Piper. The real estate partner joined DLA Piper in 2014 along with a team of fellow former Berwin Leighton Paisner partners which also included corporate partner Patrick Somers, head of real estate Laurence Rogers and corporate tax partner Neville Wright. With a broad real estate practice spanning a variety of real estate and development matters, Mr Hopkinson-Wooley counts Oxford Properties, Tishman Speyer and funds advised Pramerica among his book of business. His hire by Simmons comes after the firm laid off several members of its real estate team earlier this year following a post-Brexit slowdown in real estate transactions.
