In Ireland new rules have just come into place requiring individuals to register as the owner of a drone. Similar rules are taking effect in the US, while in Australia people are being warned of 'hefty fines' if they do not abide by rules from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority.

Under the Australian rules, drones must be kept at least 30 metres away from other people and must remain within the sight of the pilot. Breaches can result in fines of up to A$9,000. Source: Brisbane Times
