Exit of BLP's French head means Paris office will become liaison post

Eight years after he opened the Paris office of Berwin Leighton Paisner, Antoine-Audoin Maggiar is leaving and the base is being downgraded.

The office will be run as a liaison office under the management of London-based senior partner Harold Paisner. Mr Paisner is registered at the Paris Bar. Mr Maggiar is a corporate finance specialist. He will remain as a consultant to the firm. A spokesperson for BLP said: ‘BLP has recently completed a review of the corporate finance practice in France. It has been decided the firm should focus on our corporate finance expertise on servicing clients from our offices in London, Moscow and Asia.’ Source: Legal Business
