EY in UK takes two more partners from Addleshaws

Paul Devitt, who stood down a year ago as managing partner of Addleshaw Goddard, is joining the Big Four firm's legal practice, where he will work alongside another ex-Addleshaws collegue, Philip Goodstone, who is now head of the EY legal team.

The expansion strategy comes within a year of the firm acquiring its ABS licence from the Solicitors Regulation Authority Bocman 1973

Paul Devitt, an M&A specialist, makes the trip to EY (formerly known as Ernst & Young) with another Addleshaws partner, corporate specialist Richard Thomas. Mr Devitt has spent the last year advising on transactions, having given up the management role a year before it was due to end.
