EY Legal will offer its services in Argentina and Chile for the first time after a series of key hires from local in-house teams. In Chile, the accountancy has picked up Paula Bruzzone to lead its legal services offering in the country. Ms Bruzzone joins EY from retailer Falabella, where she most recently served as general counsel.  In Argentina, Jorge Garnier will join EY from a senior legal counsel position at Argentinian power company Genneia. Further north, EY Legal has picked up a new Canadian partner, Anthony Kramreither, from the Toronto office of Norton Rose Fulbright. Mr Kamreither will now head up EY’s business law team in Canada.

Going for growth

The launches in Argentina and Chile bring the total number of jurisdictions where EY Legal has a presence to 73; the company had originally set itself a target of 75 jurisdictions by the end of 2015. ‘These key hires provide the breadth and experience required to deliver multidisciplinary services as we continue to acquire the leading talent for our growing teams,’ commented EY global head of law Cornelius Grossmann.
