Fashion-tech on the agenda at LuxLaw Summit

Vodafone's move into fashion-tech is one of the subjects for discussion at this year's Luxury Law Summit on 16/17 May when over 200 luxury leaders and dealmakers gather in London to discuss the hot issues impacting on the luxury marketplace.

Luxury companies are entering into art collaborations

From diamonds, cars and travel to fashion and hardtech, representatives from a wide range of luxury sectors will give their views on the challenges and opportunities in the sector. The event will be attended by lawyers from global luxury companies including Fendi, Furla, Kering, Gucci, Richemont, Charlotte Olympia, De Beers, Tiffany, Hermes International to United Perfumes, Rio Tinto, Faberge and BNP Paribas.

Fashion-tech

Whilst the interplay between fashion and technology may be in the news with today's opening of the New York exhibition Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of  Technology,  the Luxury Law Summit also looks at how luxury companies can enhance online brand protection strategies by turning consumers into allies through a case study on Versace. Growth through acquisition is also on the agenda with Barrack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg speaking on the importance of IP due diligence when acquiring luxury brands. Dealmaker Robert Ferrell will discuss his role in seminal fashion collaborations whilst Italian law firm Jacobacci will shed light on the growth of art and luxury collaborations and why luxury companies see value in going down this route.
