Ms Corben spent more than a decade as head of King & Wood Malleson’s tax practice before exiting the firm earlier this year amid a review of its legacy SJ Berwin partnership. She joins Forsters with an impressive book of business that includes British Land, Axa REIM, Brockton Capital, LaSalle Investment Management, British Airways Pension Fund and Heron. ‘Heather’s experience and abilities are clear to see,’ commented Forsters managing partner Paul Roberts of the firm’s latest recruit. ‘She has a strong track record of advising on the structuring of major corporate and real estate transactions. She will strengthen our already excellent tax team, which can only benefit from her experience.’ Ms Corben’s appointment coincides with the hire of property litigation partner Ben Barrison, who has joined Forsters from DLA Piper.
