Former lawyer who lied to Minter gets seven-year ban
Luke Grosser, who forged academic achievements, records and employment experience and used them to gain a summer placement at Minter Ellison, has been barred from practising until 2022.
He was found guilty of making false claims by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Although he was on placement at Minter in Melbourne and applied to be taken on as a property lawyer, the firm did not offer him a permanent post. The tribunal heard, for instance, that he had claimed to have a First Class law degree when, in fact, he graduated with a Second Class degree. He was also fined A$6,000. Source: Lawyers Weekly
