Arthur Liman, former Paul, Weiss partner and one of the great American lawyers in history, left behind more than just his legacy when he passed away in 1997. The Harvard College and Yale Law School Graduate worked at Paul, Weiss representing clients like Michael Milken and Time Warner. He also worked as assistant U.S. attorney, chief counsel of the commission that investigated the Attica Prison uprising, and chief counsel of the Senate committee that investigated the Iran-Contra affair. His son, Lewis Liman followed in his footsteps and is now a partner at Cleary Gottlieb, having been a former federal prosecutor.
