Globalaw to focus on Asia-Pacific investment in Tokyo conference

The global network of 115 independent law firms will discuss trade issues including the proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership between Japan and the US at its Tokyo meeting later this month.

About 90 lawyers are expected from 40 different jurisdictions to discuss a range of issues including 'Asian Expansion and Risk Management' against a background of the run-up to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the Japan-US negotiations on the Trans-Pacific Partnership. 

Concern on trans-continental partnerships

These Trans-Continental Partnerships have caused concern amongs many people - and could lead to the creation of specialist legal teams and even law firms. They will offer new kinds of relationships where foreign companies could acquire new rights in the states they invest in.
