Gordon Dadds takes on fellow UK firm from the hands of administrators

London-based Gordon Dadds is to become a £30m full-service practice, following the acquisition of Jeffrey Green Russell after it appointed administrators last week.

Gordon Dadds has carried out three acquisitons in the past two years IR Stone

The transaction took the form of a speedy 'pre-pack' administration and sees a number of directors and other lawyers join Gordon Dadds from Jeffrey Green Russell. It is not yet clear how many people will be making the transition; some legal services staff have lost their jobs.

Support staff

Philip Cohen, chair of Jeffrey Green, said: 'Unfortunately we could not take all our support services staff with us … but we are already helping them to find new jobs. Our fee-earners are hugely enthusiastic for this deal and for what they will be able to achieve in their new home.' Source: The Lawyer
