Grimaldi beefs up London office with high profile partners

The Italian firm joins forces once more with ex-Clifford Chance banking partner Michael Bray who brought the firm into the Clifford Chance fold over 20 years ago.

Italian law firm Grimaldi Studio Legale's London office is upping its presence in London with the hire of two top lawyers. Former Clifford Chance CEO Michael Bray will join the firm with Bonelli Erede Pappalardo’s Riccardo Sallustio. Mr Bray, who is now retired from Clifford Chance, was instrumental in an earlier deal with Vittoria Grimaldi when Clifford Chance joined forces with Grimaldi over 20 years ago in Italy, initiatlly as a joint venture and later a merger to form Grimaldi & Clifford Chance in 2000.  However, the firm split shortly afterwards with five of the senior partners from the Italian firm, including  name partner Vittorio Grimaldi,  26 other lawyers and eight support staff departing to form Grimaldi e Associati.
