Whilst the Clooney factor has brightened up the Inns of Court, the news that Benedict Cumberbach could have been a legal hottie is straight off the press. The Oscar nominated star's decision to ignore the dearest wishes of his parents and go down the luvvie path was revealed when he  told the Daily Mirror that he had dabbled with the idea of becoming a barrister.   ‘For a while, I wanted to be a barrister because there’s definitely a crossover with criminal law – with trying to persuade an audience and a jury and a judge of the case and your client’s story so I did go down that route for a little bit.'  Now he just dresses up and is the story.
