Hong Kong lawyers look to alternative businesses

Hong Kong's new Law Society president has announced plans to review alternative business structures.

Stephen Hung Wan-shun has told lawyers that an internal report was soon to be finalised on how local firms could co-run partnerships with other professionals. He said that changing the status quo would allow lawyers to adopt 'a one-stop business model'. Mr Hung was elected to replace Ambrose Lam San-keung  who resigned in August after a vote of no-confidence at an extraordinary general meeting following his support for Beijing's white paper on Hong Kong.
