Hovis gets legal counsel

Bread producer Hovis is to set up a legal department after being sold off to Gores Group for £30m.

The company was sold off as part of a £1.1 billion refinancing plan by Premier to the US private equity firm. Premier still owns 49 per cent of the group. Premier general counsel Andrew McDonald said he was actively looking for a general counsel for Hovis.
