Insurance law firms make key hires

Ince & Co, Kennedys and Ireland's Dillon Eustace are amongst the insurance-specialist law firms which have been making important new appointments in recent weeks.

65 per cent of respondents believe a certification programme would be valuable for new associates

Peter Bredin is joining Dillon Eustace’s Dublin-based commercial litigation practice after a decade at rival Arthur Cox where he acted for ‘a number of London insurers with regards to professional indemnity matters’. He will now be ‘working closely with the team to further develop the firm’s commercial litigation and insurance offering, as well as broadening its client base’.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Goacher is joining Kennedys in Singapore from DLA Piper. He has ‘a particular focus on insurance and advises a client base of global insurers, large corporates and insurance brokerages’, according to Kennedys. The firm adds that his appointments ‘boosts the firm’s international corporate insurance practice, which has grown significantly during the last few years’.

In London Ince has appointed a new insurance partner. Jennifer Donohue, an insurance and reinsurance specialist, is joining from Locke Lord.
