Irwin Mitchell and Thomas Eggar combine to create 17-office UK firm
The two firms expect to merge formally next month, putting their joint private client offering into the UK's top five and creating a business legal services team which puts it into the UK's top 50.

The joint operation - to be known as Irwin Mitchell - will have annual revenues of about £250m. Irwin Mitchell currently has over 2,100 people on its payroll, including 200 partners.
