Jenner & Block expands London head's role

Charlie Lightfoot gains a role managing the firm's worldwide international arbitration practice.

US law firm Jenner & Block's London office managing partner Charlie Lightfoot has been appointed co-chair of the firm’s International Arbitration Practice.  Mr Lightfoot joins partner and co-chair Richard Ziegler in managing the practice which handles a wide range of international arbitrations in jurisdictions around the world and has extensive experience in handling high-value, international arbitrations in both the commercial and investor/state arena.   Mr Lightfoot joined the firm as a partner in its London office in 2015 and assumed the role of London office managing partner in 2016.

Cross-border

Jenner & Block’s lawyers have acted in cross-border commercial and investment arbitrations administered by institutions, including the London Court of International Arbitration, International Chamber of Commerce, International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes, American Arbitration Association/ International Centre for Dispute Resolution and the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. Practice co-chair Richard Ziegler, who is resident in the firm’s New York office, said: 'It’s an honour for me to work with Charlie as co-chair and I am excited that he will join me in building on the well-recognised International Arbitration Practice that Jenner & Block has developed, now spanning all five of the firm’s offices.'
