JMW Solicitors boosts revenue to break £20m mark

JMW Solicitors has reported a double-digit revenue rise, with turnover increasing by 16 per cent to break the £20m barrier.

The Manchester firm has grown from £19.4m to £22.5m over 2015/16. Profits also increased by 13.3 per cent from £3.8m to £4.3m, with average profit per equity partner jumping nearly 4 per cent from £410,000 to £430,000.

Commercial litigation sees biggest growth

The commercial litigation team saw the biggest growth of 55 per cent, followed by an increase of 47 per cent for the private client team. Revenue generated via website instructions jumped by 17 per cent to £1.5m, while fees from solicitors’ referral network Lawshare doubled to £1m.

Continued revenue growth

The firm has enjoyed several years of double-digit growth, seeing a 13 per cent rise in turnover at the end of 2014/15. Revenues rose by 14.6 per cent in the previous financial year.
