The Chicago law firm brought in £3.17 billion in revenue last year, beating Latham & Watkins at $3.06 billion, according to the American Lawyer. The figures reveal a rise of 19 per cent. Furthermore, its profits per partner jumped to $4.7 million, a rise of around 15 per cent. The magazine said the jump was accounted for by a 13 per cent rise in headcount to 1997 lawyers as well as good performances in private equity, restructuring, M&A and litigation. It also noted that only two firms had better profits per partner in the last Am Law 100. Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan enjoyed PPP of over $5 million in 2016.
