Kirkland & Ellis management embrace coping classes

The Chicago law firm has embarked on a yoga, meditation and wellness training programme.

Meditation is on the cards at Kirkland & Ellis Antonio Guillem

The firm is extending the  'Life XT' programme across its US offices which will see lawyers take up wellness training in an organised way. The programme was devised by Chicago venture capitalist Eric Langshur of Abundant Venture Partners who wrote a book 'Start Here' after discovering he was no longer waking up and enjoying his day. The programme helps reduce stress and helps develop emotional coping skills through a series of classes and videos. Kirkland & Ellis chair Jeffrey Hammes is a director on the board of Abundant Venture Partners. Deloittes has also signed up to the programme which is being targeted at other companies.
