Though neither firm has commented publicly on the moves, an internal Weil Gotshal office email seen by Big Law Business confirmed that private equity partners Michael Weisser and Sarah Stasny had their going away drinks in Manhattan on Monday evening. Together, the pair have provided M&A, restricting and financing advise to clients including Guggenheim Partners, American Securities, Avista Capital Partners, EQT Partners and The Jordon Company. Mr Weissner is exiting Weil Gotshall after 13 years with the firm, joining in 2003 and making partner in 2007. Meanwhile, Ms Stasny is leaving after joining Weil Gotshal as an associate in 2004 and rising to partner in 2014.
