The announcement of the new office comes after KWM scooped up a team of four real estate partners, one commerce partner and five associates from rival firm Eversheds' in April last year. The new nine-lawyer Cambridge team, which will initially focus itself on providing services to real estate clients, includes all four former Eversheds real estate partners. Among them, now KWM real estate partner Simon Burson will be managing the new office. Mr Burson brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously headed up Eversheds' Cambridge real estate team and sat on the firm's Cambridge senior management team. KWM real estate partner and sector co-head William Naunton, also formerly of Eversheds, commented that the new Cambridge office will allow the firm to provide high-quality, low-cost legal services to real estate clients from a 'dedicated team of sector specialist lawyers'.
