Law firm Leigh Day will not recieve costs from the SRA, the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal has ruled. The firm was cleared of misconduct along with three of its solicitors, in a seven week hearing over the handling of claims by Iraqi civilians against the Ministry of Defense. It had applied for the SRA to pay 60 per cent of its final costs bill, estimated to be around £7.8m. However, the Solicitors Discipinary Tribunal ruled that 'Following the Hearing on 13 November 2017, the Tribunal orders that there be no order for costs in relation to the substantive hearing.'
