LexisNexis to push on legal analytics after Lex Machina acquisition

LexisNexis has announced that it has taken over Lex Machina, giving the acquired business access to 'a vast collection of litigation documents' that will be used to 'bring legal analytics to all of the law'.

In its own statement, Lex Machina says that it will operate 'as a stand-alone entity within North American Research Solutions at LexisNexis Legal & Professional'. The move enables it to 'increase our ability to fulfill this mission and accelerate our timetable'.

Faster innovation

The Lex Machina statement continues: 'We will also be able to innovate faster and roll out more features and products to continue to help IP attorneys provide the best service to their clients, win more cases, and win more business.' Source: Lex Machina
