A High Court judge found in favour of nine fixed share partners who had been pursued for £600,000 after the firm collapsed in 2010. The judge held that ‘the terms of the retirement deed are clear’ in relation to this group and the Manchester- and London-based partnership.

But Dermot Power of liquidators BDO said: ‘..the joint liquidators continue to pursue multiple other avenues to maximise recoveries for creditors, including action against partners who have sought immunity from liquidation claims.’  The deficiency regarding unsecured creditors is estimated to be £203m.
