Littler follows energy boom to open in Austin, Texas

Littler, the employment law firm, is opening a new office in Austin - which it describes as 'one of the nation's most dynamic and growing cities' - by relocating three of its shareholders from Dallas.

Austin has become a mecca for tech startups and a number of Littler's clients have moved their corporate and regional headquarters to the city

The office - Littler's third in Texas - opens on 1 September and will be staffed by Steve McCown, Allan King and Kevin Mullen. There are about 1,000 employment lawyers working in Littler's 60 offices, and some 70 of the lawyers are based in Texas.

Private sector growth

The co-managing directors of Littler, Tom Bender and Jeremy Roth, said in a statement: 'Austin’s economy is extremely diversified and is poised for continued expansion. Due to the recent Texas energy boom and Austin’s private sector growth, the area has seen tremendous development.' Source: Littler
