Flexible legal services company Lawyers on Demand (LOD) has extended its model to Germany. The company has opened its first office with two lawyers. Dr Zollner joins LOD with significant experience as a lawyer in Germany from legal support business Renner Zollner with Carl Renner, the founder of Renner Zoller. Dr Zollner also worked for Infineon Technologies and was head of legal at ATOSS Software AG as well as being a partner at Pinsent Masons and CMS.

Changing German market

Dr Zollner said of the move: 'I have experienced first-hand how the German legal market has changed in recent years and I firmly believe that this is a perfect time to offer the LOD approach.  We aim to work with the highest level of clients to give German LOD lawyers a real alternative to the traditional career path.'

Flexibility and performance

LOD, which has 10 offices worldwide, last year opened in Dubai, the first offering of its kind in the Middle East, along with a number of internal senior hires in core operational areas. 'It is important to emphasise the LOD credentials in all of this,' Dr Zollner added.  'With the solid success of LOD across its 9 other offices, German companies can already see how LOD have made a significant difference to the flexibility and performance of their legal teams.  We are in an unrivalled position to come to the market with a number of existing strong relationships with German clients based around the world.'

Complex

LOD CEO Tom Hartley adds, 'The market continues to demand increasingly complex and global solutions, and our lawyers continue to want to work with a business that puts people first.  We will continue with our focus of designing solutions for our clients and growing the number of teams that we deploy around the world.  We are looking forward to seeing this in action in the German market.'
