Magic Circle fall behind other firms in views of female buyers

The Magic Circle law firms are trailing the majority of UK law firms - getting a brand rating equal to just 74 per cent of that of the average firm, according to a survey of 360 general counsel.

The average UK firm has a 27 per cent  favourable rating among women, according to reserch from brand experts Acritas. In contrast the average Magic Circle practice has a 20% favourable rating from females. With women accounting for nearly two-thirds of those studying for the law, firms may need to reconsider their approach to women. 

Top performer

By contrast with the Magic Circle, Eversheds and DLA Piper and making considerable progress with female in-house counsel.
