Mass registration process expected to start for drones in US

The Federal Aviation Administration is expected to accept recommendations for a drone registration system. Brendan Schulman, lawyer at DJI, the world's biggest manufacturer of drones, has estimated that 1 million drones could be affected.

The registration system, if based on proposals put forward by a specialist task force, would require operators of drones aged 13 and over to be registered, rather than having to register each machine separately. The proposals also suggest excluding operators of drones that weigh under 250g.
