Mumbai and Delhi law firms join forces

The merger will create an 80 lawyer firm on 1 November.

Mumbai law firm Bharucha & Partners has merged with Delhi firm Arthe Law creating a 12 partner and 80 lawyer strong law firm. The new entity will be called Bharucha & Partners from 1 November. Arthe Law was formed earlier this year from the merger of boutique technology, media and telecom law firm TMT Law Practice and New Delhi-based lawyer, and former AAG of the State of Punjab and Haryana, DP Singh's DPSA Legal. The new entity has 12 partners and will offer expertise across a wide range of practice areas.

Dehli office

Bharucha, which has an operational office in Delhi, will move to Arthe's office to house 30 lawyers, including six partners. Arthe's Mumbai office will now move to the South Mumbai offices of Bharucha & Partners whils also retainin their office in Andheri to service media cleints. The Mumbai offices have a combined strength of around 50 lawyers. Vivek Vashi, a partner at Bharucha & Partners, will leave to set up his own law firm.
