Musharraf denied meeting with lawyers

Pakistan's former president Pervez Musharraf has been denied access to his legal team after they were refused entrance to his farmhouse which has been declared a sub-jail.

Mr Musharraf, who ruled Pakistan between 1999 and 2007, was arrested on Friday following claims he illegally detained judges in 2007.
Following the events, Mr Musharraf’s lawyer Ahmed Raza Kasuri questioned how he was supposed to fight the case without speaking to his client. ‘It is like going into a war without weapons,’ he said.

Mr Kasuri also expressed concerns that the former leader may suffer torture and demanded that Mr Musharraf be medically examined, according to The Express Tribune.
It was also revealed that a petitioner challenged the notification which declared Mr Musharraf’s farmhouse as sub-jail. He has requested to move the former president to Adiala jail.
