The work level is up on Q3 2013 even if it is down on the 154 deals that firms advised on in Q2 of 2014. Osler came top in terms of deal values - while Blakes came first by number of deals. Debt and equity

Eric Moncik, a Blakes partner based in Toronto, said: ‘Typically the third quarter is the slowest quarter of the year, yet we saw a high level of activity in both debt and equity markets.
