Perez-Llorca to open New York office to reach North and South America

The 140-lawyer Spanish practice Perez-Llorca is to open the office in Q4 - with the aim of advising its clients on Spanish law, rather than practising North American law.

The office will be the firm's second abroad - following on the heels of the London office that it opened six months ago. The New York office, located on Park Avenue, will be headed by Ivan Delgado, a corporate partner. He specialises in M&A, private equity transactions and general company and corporate matters.

Gateway to Latin America

According to a statement from the firm, the office 'will advise the firm’s clients on the Spanish law aspects of their transactions and will additionally redouble its business development efforts throughout the entire Continent. This office will also serve as a gateway to the Latin American market, both by accompanying Spanish clients and by working with local clients and firms.'

Surge

Mr Delgado said that Perez-Llorca is 'receiving more and more requests from US and Latin American companies'. He added that the firm is also seeing 'a surge in our clients' interests in the North American and Latin American markets'. Source: Perez-Llorca
