PwC launches Australian legal services arm

The global accountancy firm has launched its next move in the battle for domination of the legal market with the hire of two ex-KWM partners.

A Sydney duo will head up PwC's Australian launch Leelakajonkij

Accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has entered the Australian legal market with the hire of two ex-King & Wood Mallesons partners. Tony O'Malley and Tim Blue will head up the firm's legal practice across Australia and the Asian Pacific region, building a legal services platform in the region. Mr O Malley had headed up KWM's Australian practice before he left to set up a boutique practice with Tim Blue who retired as head of KWN's M&A and tax practice last year.
