Qatar lawyers look to modernise the courts

With a fast-growing population and an expanding court workload in Qatar, the bar association is calling on the courts to modernise.

Qatari lawyers have called for modernisation of the legal system and laws.The Qatari Lawyers’ Association wants the courts to speed up litigation as well as update policies on technology. Emails, videos and audios, short-messaging services of mobile phones and other means of communication should be allowed as evidence in cases, the group says. Source: Peninsula
